Meet Freesia Worth from DARK WATER

Meet Freesia Worth from DARK WATER
Freesia Worth is no typical sixteen-year old, and her life is far from average—much to her frustration. First, her father is killed during a Peace Mission in Afghanistan, then her mother mysteriously disappears. She has the summer to figure out what happened to her mom and she’s determined to do everything in her power to find answers.

Freesia’s strength is inspirational as she forges ahead to solve a mystery while caring for her younger sister, Sage, who has special needs. But as strong as she tries to be for her family and friends, Freesia has moments of self-doubt where she just wants to be a ‘normal’ teenager dealing with everyday problems.

With all of the loss she’s suffered, Freesia guards her heart closely—allowing very few people near it. But those lucky enough to be in her heart, and who get to know her that well, are deeply loved and protected.

Her motto in life is, “Telling me I can’t do something only makes me work harder to prove you wrong.” She applies this to everything she faces in her life, from schoolwork to finding her mom. Her grandfather tells her that she gets her fierce determination from her mother and her courage from her dad, and that those traits will take her far.

If you’d like to get to know Freesia better, DARK WATER is available in Kindle and paperback editions on Amazon.

Freesia may not have a ‘typical’ life, but she’s definitely a person many young adults can relate to.
